If you are in Carson City (city) county it's always a good idea to stop by Dry Lake. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Dry Lake has it all. There's whitewater on Carson River - East Fork for all you adrenaline people, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Carson Station Hotel/Casino. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.

All year is a delightful time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. A pleasant tour to Taylor Flat is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, and here at Dry Lake you can observe C Hill. This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Dry Lake you'll meet some folks from Carson City for sure, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Heavenly is quite near. The Mount Rose Trail is a great hiking
trail in close proximity to Dry Lake, and nothing beats kicking back at South Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Oasis Trailer Haven, and Clear Creek Canyon is another pleasant site to stop at close by.
Dry Lake
is a location that is quite dry commonly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. After a long day outdoors Carson City Super 8 Motel is a great place to spend a night or two.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Comstock Country RV Resort. At Dry Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Dry Lake.
