The warmest time of the year at Dollar Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 90's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Dollar Lakes temperatures sink to the 10's. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. It is very arid here at Dollar Lakes ordinarily; November is the month that gets the most rain while July       is typically the driest month. Going for a hike along the Smith Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; on a beautiful day you get a tremendous vista of Lake Peak from Dollar Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Liberty Lake right next door to Dollar Lakes, it's a gorgeous lake, and there are plenty of folks from Elko here at Dollar Lakes. Nearby Liberty Pass is a glorious place to go if you're at Dollar Lakes; camping is available                  at Lee Jiggs Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ruby Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Ruby Mountains.
