Camping at Mahoney's Silver Nugget Park is always a glorious experience; a wonderful nearby hotel is Aliante Station Hotel and Casino. Throughout the summertime here at Cottonwood Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 100's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's       for Cottonwood Lake. All our national parks are good places to explore, and Lake Mead National Recreation Area is no exception, and a day on the slopes of Las Vegas Ski is just what you need. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Lots of folks from Las Vegas-Paradise come to Cottonwood Lake, and Stillwell Spring is always fun to check out. Cottonwood Lake is mostly a reasonably dry location; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest                  of the months is June. You'll find a charming lake called Desert Willow Lake near Cottonwood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Santa Fe Station Hotel is a wonderful choice, and golf can be played at Painted Desert Golf Course.
