Lakes are fine; Culverwell Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Conaway Reservoir. During the long summer days at Conaway Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Conaway Reservoir are in the 20's. A       great place to camp here at Conaway Reservoir is Cathedral Gorge State Park; not far from Conaway Reservoir you'll stumble on Eccles Reservoir which is a picturesque lake. Conaway Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through March while June is typically the driest month.
