The beauty of Charleston Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Charleston Reservoir gets very little rain; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious spot to camp here at Charleston Reservoir is Pine Creek National Forest Campground, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Elko. There's some flowing water close by, Coyote Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay,

| | and not far from Charleston Reservoir you obtain some delightful water scenery at Charleston Reservoir Dam. Summertime highs at Charleston Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Charleston Reservoir. Camping is available at Bluster National Forest Campground; don't leave Charleston Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Gold Creek Trail.
