Not much rainfall falls here at Castle Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. There are other locations here than Castle Lake, for example Dollar Lakes, and camping at Lee Jiggs Campground is always a wonderful experience. Throughout the warm months here at Castle Lake, high temperatures frequently       get into the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Castle Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Ruby Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Castle Lake; Smith Creek Trail is a pleasant local trail, and a forest nearby is Ruby Mountain Ranger District. Good hiking is available along the Ruby Crest Trail, and                  dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge & Suites. Castle Lake is located in the Ruby Mountains.
