This place, Blue Lake, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Stay the night at Wheeler Peak Campground. Summertime highs at Blue Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 40's while Blue Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. And if that's not enough there's plenty more entertaining       things to do in the Snake Range. Do stop at Brown Lake in close proximity to Blue Lake, it's a pretty lake, and great hiking is available along the Highland Ridge Trail. Blue Lake gets very little rainfall; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; January meanwhile is the driest month. Do pay a visit to Great Basin National Park if you're here at Blue Lake; there are tremendous places to look at along the Bristlecone Pine Glacier                  Trail. The Snake Range scenery is always beautiful. You get a brilliant view of Bald Mountain from Blue Lake, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ELY is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful.
