Blackwells Pond is a nice lake to visit. If you need a spot to stay Nugget by Carefree Inn is a glorious choice; if you want to hit the beach, South Beach is close at hand. The cheerful folks of Carson City like to hang out close by, and Eagle Valley is a brilliant place. Summertime highs at Blackwells Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Indian Mountain can be made out from Blackwells Pond, and a short tour to Carson Hot Springs is always worthwhile. Ash Canyon Creek is in the vicinity of Blackwells Pond and is always
a delight to explore, and a day on the slopes of Diamond Peak is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Silver Oak Golf Club, and Blackwells Pond is a brilliant location to camp, Oasis Trailer
Haven is a brilliant location.
It is very dried up here at Blackwells Pond generally; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July.
