Banana Pond is one of the lakes here in the Ruby Mountains. You'll hit upon a charming lake called Brush Pile Pond near Banana Pond, and do take a hike on the Smith Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of the Ruby Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Thunderbird Motor Inn Elko, and Flyn and Hager Spring is a tremendous local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Ruby Crest Trail is splendid fun. Banana       Pond is ordinarily a relatively dried out place; throughout the month of December you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the summertime here at Banana Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's.
