This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Bristlecone Pine Glacier Trail, and fine hiking is available along the Baker Shoshone Trail. Some of the water close by flows, like Lehman Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Baker Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Lower Lehman Creek Campground. It is very dried up here at Baker Reservoir usually; March is the month that gets the most       rain, and January is when it's the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Baker Reservoir; Highland Ridge Trail is a splendid local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Snake Range. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining stuff to do in the Snake Range. All our national parks are fine places to pop by, and Great Basin National Park is no exception, and Baker Reservoir is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Whispering                  Elms Trailer Park is a delightful place to camp nearby. Through the summertime at Baker Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's.
