Summertime highs at Yucca Windmill usually tend to be in the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Yucca Windmill. Near Yucca Windmill you stumble on the Oakridge Trail which is a great hiking trail; for you golfers we recommend nearby Carrizozo Country Club. If you need a site to       stay The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a wonderful choice. On a great day at Yucca Windmill you can take a hike along the Carrizo Peak Trail; if you came to camp Sands Motel and RV Park is a splendid spot to do that. Not much rainfall falls here at Yucca Windmill; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful.
