This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Springs Ranch Recreational Vehicle Park is a pleasant local campground, and playing golf is lots of fun at Carrizozo Country Club. Yucca Windmill is a great site to visit for more than one day, Sands Motel and RV Park is a great site to camp nearby, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Carrizo Peak Trail. On a perfect day at Yucca       Windmill you can take a hike along the Oakridge Trail. A glorious close by hotel is Hotel Ruidoso, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Barber Springs Trail. Summertime highs at Yucca Windmill ordinarily tend to be in the 90's.
