Lake Woods is pretty arid ordinarily; most of the rain falls all through July, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. What a site this is for outdoors people. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Fort Union National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and after a long day outdoors Las Vegas Super 8 Motel is a brilliant       site to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Vegas RV and Storage, and a quick journey to Sapello River is positively a delightful idea. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping at Dukes RV Park is always a splendid experience; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Woods; Santa Fe Trail is a pleasant local trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Phoenix Lake,                  and a fine close by hotel is Best Western Montezuma Inn & Suites. Summertime highs at Lake Woods commonly tend to be in the 80's; the night is a bit chillier of course, regularly in the 40's.
