If you are in Otero county it's always a good idea to stop by Wilson Lake. From a rain point of view Wilson Lake is a pretty common place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and April on the other hand is the driest. Wilson Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, James Canyon Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a great place like Miller Flats here at Wilson Lake is too good to miss. Wilson Lake is one of
the lakes here in the Sacramento Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Cloudcroft is a nice place to spend a night or two. At Wilson Lake through the summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Wilson Lake plunge into the 10's. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in

the Sacramento Mountains. There's so much to do here at Wilson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dear Spring Recreational Vehicle Park is a glorious place for that, and Bible Canyon is nearby, and is a good location.
