    A visit to Williams Lake is always a good idea. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The San Pedro Mountain Trail is a good hiking trail near Williams Lake, and camping at Nacimiento Campground is always a wonderful experience. Williams Lake gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is June.
This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Williams
 
   Lake is Clear Creek Campground, and do put some time aside to spend at San Jose Spring while you're here at Williams Lake. Hatch Reservoir Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here, and a tremendous nearby hotel is The Abiquiu Inn. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Mahan Canyon is a brilliant location to explore in the neighborhood of Williams Lake; going for a hike along the River Trail will  
               let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
Throughout the warmest time of the year at Williams Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Williams Lake are in the 0's. So many entertaining things in close proximity to Williams Lake, just remarkable. If the weather is nice here at Williams Lake, you can go for a hike along the San Jose Trail.
