Whitewater paddling is perfect on Rio Santa Cruz; if you came to camp Trailer Ranch is a good location to do that. Weir Well is frequently a pretty waterless site; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Santa Fe is near Weir Well. You'll locate a picturesque lake called Dead Dog Well near Weir Well, and
a good nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Santa Fe. High temperatures at Weir Well through the summer months are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Weir Well dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
