Water Bird Lake rocks! Angel Fire has good slopes and a friendly staff. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Water Bird Lake has to offer, you can camp at Twining Campground. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking       is a popular thing to do around Water Bird Lake; Burnt Ridge Trail is a tremendous local trail; tremendous skiing awaits you at Red River. So much fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just fantastic. If you need a place to stay Angel Fire Resort is a magnificent choice, and the Lost Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a delightful place to spend a night or two; Larkspur                  Peak is easy to spot from Water Bird Lake. A lake nearby is Blue Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail. Summer at Water Bird Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Water Bird Lake. While you're here at Water Bird Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Taos. There's so much to do here at Water Bird Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Italianos Campground is a brilliant place for that.
