After a long day outdoors Angel Fire Resort is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail is always a nice adventure. All year is a good time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you like the outdoors. This is a nice neighborhood for people who like lakes. Blue Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and nearby you find the Burnt Ridge       Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. It is very waterless here at Water Bird Lake mostly; most of the rain falls all through August, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Red River has great slopes and a friendly staff; if you came for an overnight stay Italianos Campground is a great spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. People from Taos love to come to Water Bird Lake. Not enough                  hours in a day to enjoy this place. From Water Bird Lake you obtain a tremendous view of Larkspur Peak, and why not camp at Twining Campground if you're here at Water Bird Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Bear Lake; Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a fine place to get some rest. Summertime at Water Bird Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Water Bird Lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too great to be true.
