Why not stop by Water Bird Lake if you're passing through these parts. Water Bird Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month of the year is February. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Gotta ski! so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail; Twining Campground is a tremendous local campground. Very beautiful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Angel Fire, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Taos here.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great choice. Through the summer months here at Water Bird Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge
down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Water Bird Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Water Bird Lake? Waterbird Lake is around here, and going for a hike on the Burnt Ridge Trail is always a pleasant adventure.
