Good hiking is available along the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and the sight of Larkspur Peak is picturesque. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Water Bird Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Italianos Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and a fine nearby hotel is Angel Fire Resort. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is                  so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail; Twining Campground is a tremendous local campground. Very beautiful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Angel Fire, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Taos here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great choice. Through the summer months here at Water Bird Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Water Bird Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
