Not much rain falls here at Wallace Lake; the month with most of the rain is July; January meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Wallace Lake generally tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Wallace Lake tend to be in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. After a long day outdoors Holiday       Inn Express Hotel & Suites LAS VEGAS is a good location to spend a night or two, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out McAllister Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Fort Union National Monument is worthwhile, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Las Vegas is a pleasant choice. This spot, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. While you're here at Wallace Lake you will meet lots of people from close by                  Las Vegas, and a fine site to camp here at Wallace Lake is Las Vegas Koa Kampground. Wallace Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping is available at Dukes RV Park, and enjoy a round of golf at New Mexico Highlands University Golf Course. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time.
