    Upper Canjilon Lakes is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Upper Canjilon Lakes is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Upper Canjilon Lakes is pretty dried out generally; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is May. So much entertaining stuff to do at Upper Canjilon Lakes, so little time. There's so much to do here at Upper Canjilon Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Canjilon Campground  
   is a magnificent place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. Branding Iron Motel is a great place to get some rest; you'll perhaps meet some people from Espanola here. There are some great whitewater spots on Rio Brazos, and Alkali Spring is a great local attraction. If you came to camp Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and a great view of pretty Canjilon Mountain is available.
All through the days of summer, highs ordinarily
 
               are in the 80's at Upper Canjilon Lakes, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Upper Canjilon Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a great time. A magnificent close by hotel is The Abiquiu Inn; there's whitewater on Rio de los Brazos for all you adrenaline kick people.
