And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a place to stay Best Western River's Edge is a wonderful choice, and why not head up to Red River and strap some skis to your feet. It is very dry here at Underwood Lakes commonly; most of the rain falls during August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Econo Lodge Eagle       Nest is a splendid place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Underwood Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, McCrystal Creek Campground is a fine spot for that; Ski Rio is a very popular ski area around here. Don't leave Underwood Lakes without first going for a hike along the Bernal Trail, and if you came to camp Monument Lake Resort is a good site to do that. All through the summer here at Underwood Lakes,                  high temperatures commonly get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Underwood Lakes all through the winter mostly dip into the-10's.
