This lake is one of the great places here in the San Francisco Mountains. If you need a location to stay Best Western Sunrise Inn is a wonderful choice, and do pop by Bar C Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the San Francisco Mountains. Jenkins Creek is next to Underwood Lake and is always a delight to go to, and Erin Lake is a nearby       lake that you could go to. Summertime highs at Underwood Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 40's while Underwood Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Underwood Lake gets very little precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while April is regularly the driest month. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Underwood Lake, too nice to                  be true. This lake is so wonderful. At Underwood Lake you can see Hell Roaring Mesa, and a splendid place to camp here at Underwood Lake is Alpine Village RV Park.
