The warmest time of the year at Twin Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Twin Lakes. It is very arid here at Twin Lakes usually; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. The Sacramento Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Sacramento Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Ski Apache is a brilliant local ski area, and if you need a place to stay Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mitten Bar Trail, and if you get bored of Twin Lakes you could also explore close by Galla Lakes. Be careful coming to Twin Lakes, you might not ever want to return back home again. Going for                  a hike on the Whiskey Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Good hiking is available along the Base Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Rocky Mountain RV Park is a tremendous spot to camp.
