    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Twin Lakes. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Twin Lakes get into the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Twin Lakes are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lost Lake Trail, and Red River  
   is a great local ski area.
Twin Lakes gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains rules! Dry warm beds await you at Best Western River's Edge; some of the water close by flows, like Allen Creek. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Ski Rio; Cherokee Canyon is also a great location to look at.
You just can't picture
 
               the amount of outdoors exciting things the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Twin Lakes, too brilliant to be true. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a fine choice; McCrystal Creek Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. The Bernal Trail offers hiking at its best, and Twin Lakes is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Mallette Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby.
