    Do stop by Twin Lakes while you're in this part of New Mexico. All year is a great time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you love the outdoors. Take a hike on the Bernal Trail; tremendous skiing awaits you at Ski Rio. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Why not camp at Mallette Campground if you're here at Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Cherokee Canyon is a perfect place to go if you're at Twin Lakes;  
   skiing at Red River is one of those things you just ought to do.
Summer at Twin Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Twin Lakes night low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. Hiking along the Lost Lake Trail is tremendous fun; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great choice. Twin Lakes is located in
 
               the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Twin Lakes has it all. A lake nearby is Lost Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western River's Edge. It is very dried out here at Twin Lakes usually; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month of the year is January. A fine place to camp here at Twin Lakes is McCrystal Creek Campground, and Allen Creek is near Twin Lakes and is always a pleasure to pop by.
