  The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Turkey Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hopewell Lake Campground is a great place for that. A pleasant visit to Sullivan Park is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Turkey Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, El Ritito Campground is a great local campground.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the
    San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Vallecitos here, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Rinker Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.
