After a long day outdoors The Abiquiu Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two; Trout Lakes is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a perfect local campground. Red Hill is clearly visible from Trout Lakes, and not far from Trout Lakes you'll come       across Hidden Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Rio Brazos is so much fun, and there are other places here than Trout Lakes, for example Burns Lake. Get dripping wet paddling on Rio de los Brazos. There's so much to do here at Trout Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Trout Lakes Campground is a perfect spot for that. At Trout Lakes during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is rather colder                  of course, usually in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; overnight lows at Trout Lakes all through the winter regularly fall into the 0's. Trout Lakes is mostly a rather arid spot; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is May.
