Why not stop by Tree Lake if you're passing through these parts. Through the months of summer at Tree Lake highs are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tree Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Fort Union National Monument is a national park worth a visit, and Star Hill Inn is a good location to get some rest.
