Trampas Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is bountiful here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Why not camp at Trampas Trailhead Campground if you're here at Trampas Lakes; don't leave Trampas Lakes without first going for a hike along the Trampas Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Taos - Days Inn, and on a gorgeous day you acquire a tremendous vista of Jicarilla Peak from

If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Paddling on Rio Embudo is so much fun; why not head up to Sipapu Ski and strap some skis to your feet. Not much rainfall falls here at Trampas Lakes; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is when it's the driest. What a location this is for outdoors people. For the period of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Trampas Lakes while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with
winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Trampas Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Ski Santa Fe, and magnificent hiking is available along the Rio Medio Trail. It's always perfect to visit Rio Quemado Falls,
and there's brilliant hiking along the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
