This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place like Johnson Park here at Throttle Reservoir is too great to miss, and the sight of striking Buckhorn Mesa is tremendous. For the period of the days of summer at Throttle Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Throttle Reservoir temperatures drop to
