There is a perfect hiking trail next to Tecolote Lake called the V Rock Trail, and Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a great location to get some rest. Tecolote Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. It is very dried out here at Tecolote Lake mostly; through August this area sees the most       rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Blanco River Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and do take a look at Crowley Irrigation System Dam while you're here. And that's not all you can do here at Tecolote Lake. On a magnificent day at Tecolote Lake you can take a hike along the Leche Creek Trail, and a lake nearby is Crowley Reservoir. This                  lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Tecolote Lake is Twin Rivers Trailer Park, and paddling on Navajo River is so much fun. During the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Tecolote Lake while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Tecolote Lake. Having a great time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is easy. Boyer Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and a delightful nearby hotel is Branding Iron Motel. This lake is so wonderful.
