Why not camp at Blanco River Campground since you're here at Tecolote Lake, and the top of Eagle Point is easily observed from Tecolote Lake. There is a perfect hiking trail next to Tecolote Lake called the V Rock Trail, and Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a great location to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Blanco River Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and do take a look at Crowley Irrigation System Dam while you're here. lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Tecolote Lake is Twin Rivers Trailer Park, and paddling on Navajo River is so much fun. During the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Tecolote Lake while overnight
lows are typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Tecolote Lake. Having a great time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is easy. Boyer Lake is a nearby lake that you could
have a look at, and a delightful nearby hotel is Branding Iron Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Rio Chama.
