Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Storie Lake near Storrie Lake, and a good nearby hotel is Las Vegas Super 8 Motel. Las Vegas Koa Kampground is a great campground here,       and after a long day outdoors Las Vegas-Days Inn is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Fort Union National Monument is a very nice location to check out close to Storrie Lake; golf can be played at New Mexico Highlands University Golf Course. For the period of the summertime here at Storrie Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The                  cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Storrie Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. So many cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just unbelievable. Pecos Arroyo Watershed Site One Dam is an interesting thing to check out. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Storrie Lake. A visit to Canon Bonito is always fun, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Pecos River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
