     New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Stewart Lake is one of them. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Stewart Lake. Drift down the rapids of Rio Santa Cruz in a kayak, and everyone close by loves skiing at Ski Santa Fe. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Stewart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cowles Campground is a nice site for that. Summer at Stewart Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Throughout  
   the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Stewart Lake temperatures dip to the 10's.
Not much rain falls here at Stewart Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a very glorious location to explore in the vicinity of Stewart Lake; Stewart Lake is not far at all from
 
               Santa Fe. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Stewart Lake has to offer, you can camp at Panchuela Campground, and Stewart Lake is right by the Rio Capulin Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Bishop's Lodge is a good place to get some rest, and since you're here, you could also stop by wonderful Lake Johnson. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a nice time. The slopes of Sipapu Ski are so inviting noone can resist, and do take a hike on the Winsor Trail. After a long day outdoors Fort Marcy Hotel Suites is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Agua Sarca Trail.
