If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Mexico you can check out Star Lake. All through the warm days of summer at Star Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Star Lake. Just can't get enough of Star Lake. There are great places to explore along the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and the skiing at Angel Fire is good. Don't

| | leave Star Lake without first going for a hike along the Burnt Ridge Trail, and if you came to camp Twining Campground is a glorious spot to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Star Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Italianos Campground is a glorious local campground; a stunning lake like Bear Lake is a good spot to visit. It is very dry here at Star Lake mostly; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month | |

with the least amount of precipitation. Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a tremendous site to get some rest; at Star Lake you always meet someone from Taos.
This place, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things.
The sight of striking Larkspur Peak near Star Lake is tremendous; lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop by Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Red River is right next door to Star Lake.
Star Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail is always a great adventure, and after a long day outdoors Best Western River's Edge is a fine site to spend a night or two.
