Star Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Angel Fire has great slopes and a friendly staff; hiking along the Burnt Ridge Trail is wonderful fun. Star Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. Star Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. So many cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just mind-boggling.

| | Here at Star Lake you can see Larkspur Peak, and a splendid spot to camp here at Star Lake is Italianos Campground. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Star Lake. Star Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Twining Campground is a perfect local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lost Lake Trail. River. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lakes are great; Blue Lake is a lake that's close to Star Lake, and you're sure to stumble upon some great people from Taos here. This lake
is so wonderful. Star Lake is right by the Twining Blue Lake Trail. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to
close by Water Bird Lake. At Star Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Star Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
