Spirit Lake is a lake worth visiting. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is excellent! Stay the night at Cowles Campground, and going for a hike on the Winsor Trail is always a delightful adventure. While you're here at Spirit Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Santa Fe; do check out Lake Katherine, it's a gorgeous lake. If you're here, you might as well stop at Puerto Nambe.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | Ski Santa Fe is a fine local ski area; dry warm beds await you at Pecos Paradise Inn. Go for a hike on the Norski Cross Country Ski Track; do pay a visit to Santa Fe National Historic Trail while you're here at Spirit Lake. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Spirit Lake. Santa Fe Baldy is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Spirit Lake, and Bishop's Lodge is a good location to get some rest.

summer highs here at Spirit Lake reach the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures
at Spirit Lake plunge into the 10's. Spirit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. Get yourself
into a kayak and hit Rio Santa Cruz; there are perfect sites to explore along the Rio Capulin Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Sipapu Ski are so inviting nobody can resist, and Panchuela Campground is a pleasant
campground here. It is very arid here at Spirit Lake usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
