Spirit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At Spirit Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Spirit Lake. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Rio Santa Cruz is a perfect whitewater spot right next door to

Spirit Lake is not the only place close by, Stewart Lake is a close by lake, and dry warm beds await you at Encantado An Auberge Resort. A trip to Santa Fe National Historic Trail is recommended; a day on the slopes of Ski Santa Fe is just what you need. Be careful coming to Spirit Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. along the Norski Cross Country Ski Track; Panchuela Campground is a glorious campground nearby. Spirit Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Cowles Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby. This lake
is so wonderful. The wonderful folks of Santa Fe like to hang out close by; after a long day outdoors Bishop's Lodge is a splendid place to spend a night or two. That right there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on,
the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Good hiking is available along the Winsor Trail; Puerto Nambe is a wonderful site to take a look at. Spirit Lake gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one
with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Spirit Lake; Rio Capulin Trail is a nice local trail; a lake nearby is Lake Katherine.
