South Cisneros is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Hopewell Lake Campground is a brilliant spot to camp nearby, and since you're here, you could also check out picturesque North Cisneros. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. High temperatures at South Cisneros all through the months of summer are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The winter       comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to South Cisneros. This place is so good, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in close proximity to South Cisneros. Stay the night at El Ritito Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Lamy Peak is simple to spot from South Cisneros; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on San Antonio River. If you need a place to stay Narrow Gauge RR Inn                  is a pleasant choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio de los Pinos. At South Cisneros you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls during August; the driest of the months is May.
