High temperatures at Laguna Simon throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Laguna Simon fall into the 0's. After a long day outdoors Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a great location to spend a night or two, and a great location to go to nearby is Pasture Canyon. Laguna       Simon gets very little rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is June. There is a perfect hiking trail near Laguna Simon called the San Jose Trail. That right there is a load of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Laguna Gurule is close to Laguna Simon, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the River                  Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
