You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. There's so much to do here at Seven Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Mallette Campground is a glorious spot for that, and if you need a location to stay Golden Eagle Lodge is a fine choice. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Rio since you're here, and since you might be in       a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Beaver Lake. Allen Creek flows through this area, and a glorious close by hotel is Lazy Miner Lodge. Not much rain falls here at Seven Lakes; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is January. Having a perfect time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is painless. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You might want to pay a visit to Cherokee Canyon                  while you're here at Seven Lakes, and skiing at Red River is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. Seven Lakes is right by the Bernal Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Seven Lakes has to offer, you can camp at McCrystal Creek Campground. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Seven Lakes during the summer months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's.
