In New Mexico there are many beautiful lakes, Serpent Lake is one of them. What would winter be without some skiing at Sipapu Ski, and you can go for a hike on the Divide Trail. On a beautiful day you obtain a panorama of Jicarita Peak from Serpent Lake, and Agua Piedra Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Santa Barbara Campground is a perfect campground nearby; there's glorious hiking along the West Fork Angostura Trail.
