     All the outdoors fun things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Looking for something near Serpent Lake? Horseshoe Lake is in the neighborhood, and going for a hike along the West Fork Angostura Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near Serpent Lake. Very gorgeous scenery and great skiing is what you get at Sipapu Ski, and Days Inn Taos is a great place to  
   get some rest. A splendid site to camp here at Serpent Lake is Agua Piedra Campground, and hiking along the Divide Trail is perfect fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Santa Barbara Campground if you're here at Serpent Lake; if the weather is pretty, you acquire a great view of Jicarita Peak from Serpent Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, North Fork Lake is near Serpent Lake, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail. Not much rain falls here at Serpent Lake; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Serpent Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Serpent Lake.
