    Many people like to go to San Leonardo Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Trampas Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Ski Santa Fe is a brilliant local ski area. It is very dehydrated here at San Leonardo Lakes regularly; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
And that's not all you can do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Trampas
 
   Lakes is a nearby lake that you could explore; a great location to camp here at San Leonardo Lakes is Trampas Medio Campground. Camping at Trampas Trailhead Campground is always a good experience, and get dripping wet paddling on Rio Embudo. So much amusing stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just unbelievable. On a nice day at San Leonardo Lakes you can take a hike along the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail; the skiing at Sipapu Ski is good.

               Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. While you're here at San Leonardo Lakes, you could also pop by scenic Hidden Lake, and Rio Quemado Falls is a brilliant local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Taos - Days Inn is a splendid place to get some rest; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Santa Cruz.
And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do near San Leonardo Lakes. Jicarilla Peak is clearly visible from San Leonardo Lakes, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Rio Medio Trail. For the period of the summer months here at San Leonardo Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at San Leonardo Lakes temperatures fall to the 0's.
