San Jose Lakes is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the River Trail, and a pleasant place to camp here at San Jose Lakes is Clear Creek Campground. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the San Juan Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Go for a hike on the Rito Anastacio, and Arroyo Naranjo is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking       out. There's great hiking along the San Jose Trail, and camping at Nacimiento Campground is always a nice experience. If you need a place to stay Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a good choice. At San Jose Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and April on the other hand is the driest. During the summer here at San Jose Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down                  to the 50's.
