Don't leave San Jose Lakes without first going for a hike along the River Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's brilliant hiking along the San Jose Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Arroyo Naranjo is a stream you can stop at while you're here. For the period of the summertime highs       here at San Jose Lakes get into the 80's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 30's while San Jose Lakes nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Not much precipitation falls here at San Jose Lakes; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rito Anastacio,                  and camping is available at Clear Creek Campground.
