Summer at Samson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Samson Lake tend to be in the 10's. Samson Lake gets very little precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the       year is May. Everybody loves Blue Grass Flat, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Gallup is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to El Morro National Monument while you're here at Samson Lake; you'll meet a lot of people from Gallup here.
