If you need a place to stay Angel Fire Resort is a great choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Burnt Ridge Trail. Saladon Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Saladon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Monte Verde RV Park is a splendid spot for that; a spree to Wild Horse Park revives the spirit. At Saladon Lake you       don’t see much rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Lost Lake Trail. Garcia Peak is beautiful and can be seen from Saladon Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Saladon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sierra Bonita Cabins and RV Park.                  That right there is a load of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Take a hike on the Kit Carson Trail, and a great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Eagle Nest. Be careful coming to Saladon Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Playing golf is lots of fun at Angel Fire Resort Golf Course; nice skiing awaits you at Angel Fire. Summertime highs at Saladon Lake typically tend to be in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
