White Sands National Monument is rather close to Sacramento Lake, and camping at Slide Campground is always a wonderful experience. Through the warm months here at Sacramento Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. local trail; Sacramento Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Oliver Lee Campground is a fine local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. If you would like a little side trip, try Corral Canyon, and dry warm beds await
you at Cloudcroft Hotel. Put some time aside to spend at Pine Spring while you're here at Sacramento Lake, and if you get bored of Sacramento Lake you could also go to nearby Lightning Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Sacramento
Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Timberon Golf Course.
