The beauty of Ruidoso Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Hit the slopes at Ski Apache nearby, and a nice place is Airplane Canyon. At Ruidoso Reservoir during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ruidoso Reservoir are in the 20's. Campground is a good place to camp nearby. That right there is lots of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Sacramento Mountains has it all. Bog Spring is always fun to check out; the Dry Mills Trail offers hiking at its best.
This lake is so wonderful. The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a good place to get some rest; why not take a refreshing hike along the Perk Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Ruidoso Reservoir you acquire some nice water scenery at Alto Lake Dam, and do take a hike on the Cedar Creek Trail.
