Do stop by Ruidoso Reservoir while you're in this part of New Mexico. Ruidoso Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Sacramento Mountains. A visit to Airplane Canyon is always fun; you can go for a hike on the Dry Mills Trail. Summertime highs at Ruidoso Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Ruidoso Reservoir.

Very striking scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Ski Apache; wonderful hiking is available along the Cedar Creek Trail. Park and Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Swiss Chalet Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Ruidoso Reservoir is a location that is relatively waterless usually; throughout August this area sees the most rain,
and the driest month is April.
This place is excellent, just explore all the cool things to do next to Ruidoso Reservoir. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Alto Lake Dam; The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a great location to get some rest.
