A short journey to Perry Spring is always worthwhile, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Ruidoso Downs. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Whiskey Trail, and close by       Cook Canyon is a good place to go. Rock Water Holes is a beautiful lake in the Sacramento Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Sacramento Mountains. All through the days of summer at Rock Water Holes highs are commonly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while Rock Water Holes overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the                  20's. Good hiking is available along the Base Trail; after a long day outdoors Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a glorious site to spend a night or two. All year is a delightful time in the Sacramento Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Skiing at Ski Apache is one of those things you just ought to do, and camping at Rock Water Holes is wonderful fun, River Ranch Campground is a wonderful local campground.
