Rip Lake is regularly a rather dehydrated place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Rip Lake without first going for a hike along the Capitan Peak Trail; Mountain High RV Park is a good campground nearby. There's
