Rip Lake is a nice lake to visit. Rip Lake is pretty arid usually; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Capitan Peak Trail offers hiking at its best, and not far from Rip Lake you'll find Lonetree Lake which is a striking lake. A perfect site to camp here at Rip Lake is Baca Campground, and a splendid close by hotel is Ruidoso Downs-Days
   Inn.
All through the summertime highs here at Rip Lake reach the 90's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 50's while Rip Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Rip Lake is right by the Summit Trail; camping at Mountain High RV Park is always a brilliant experience. Take a hike on the Mitten Bar Trail. Lakes are good; Cocklebur Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Rip Lake.
So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Rip Lake, too splendid to be true.
