Reservoir Number Two is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Not much rain falls here at Reservoir Number Two; August is the month that gets the most rain, and December is when it's the driest. All through the long summer days highs here at Reservoir Number Two reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Reservoir Number

| | Two descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sands is a great place to spend a night or two. You'll find a wonderful lake called Laguna Madre near Reservoir Number Two; not far from Reservoir Number Two you get some magnificent water scenery at Dam Number Two. Holiday Inn Express Raton, Nm is a good spot to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Cedar Rail Campground is a great site to camp. | |
