For the period of the summer months at Red Lake highs are frequently in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Red Lake drop into the 0's. Red Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain       falls throughout August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Red Lake is Buzzard Park Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
