If you are in Lincoln county it's always a good idea to stop by Red Lake. Red Lake gets very little rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is April. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Red Lake reach the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Red Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant places to discover

| | along the Sand Wash Trail; there's brilliant hiking along the Carrizo Peak Trail. A good location close to Red Lake is Ancho Gulch, and don't leave Red Lake without first going for a hike along the Barber Springs Trail. Why not camp at Sands Motel and RV Park if you're here at Red Lake; dry warm beds await you at The Lodge at Sierra Blanca.
