On a great day at Red Lake you can take a hike along the Double Trail, and Turkey Canyon is in close proximity, and is a wonderful site. Going for a hike on the Golden Stairway Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Red Lake is not the only place close by, Juniper Lake is a close by lake. Summer at Red Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder       of course, ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Red Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. If you need a place to stay Whites City Resort is a pleasant choice. There is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Red Lake called the Ussery Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Red Lake has to offer, you can camp at Queen Store Cafe and RV Park.
