Why not stop by Ramah Reservoir Dam since you're here, and Coal Hollow is another good spot to check out close by. Ramah Reservoir is a location that is relatively dry usually; August is the month that gets the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Camping is available at El Morro RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Tanaja Trading Post is a       great site to camp, and Ramah Reservoir is not far at all from Gallup. Through the warm months here at Ramah Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Ramah Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Zuni Mountains. All our national parks are good places to check out, and El Morro National                  Monument is no exception, and Antenna Hill is clearly visible from Ramah Reservoir.
