    If you are in Catron county it's always a good idea to stop by Quemado Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Leslie Spring Trail, and the peak of Escondido Mesa can be distinguished from Quemado Lake. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the San Francisco Mountains will keep you coming back many times. El Morro National Monument is a magnificent national park, and a visit to Calley Spring will fill your  
   soul with tremendous feelings.
Don't leave Quemado Lake without first going for a hike along the Sawmill Camp Trail; there's always Quemado Dam to pop by in close proximity to Quemado Lake. Throughout the summertime months here at Quemado Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Quemado Lake overnight low temperatures
 
               during the winter are in the 10's. Yeah, come up here to the San Francisco Mountains for a nice time. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Tule Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Armijo Campground is a tremendous campground nearby.
Quemado Lake is located in the San Francisco Mountains. Quemado Lake Campground is a good local campground, and since you're here, you might as well visit Sawmill Canyon. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in close proximity to Quemado Lake. You're most likely interested in lakes, White Rock Lake is one of those close by, and there's nice hiking along the Escondido Trail.
Quemado Lake gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is April.
