Be careful coming to the San Francisco Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Quemado Lake; Escondido Trail is a great local trail; not far from Quemado Lake you'll stumble on El Caso Lake which is a scenic lake. Stay the night at Armijo Campground, and a short visit to Calley Spring is always worthwhile. Quemado Lake is located in the San Francisco Mountains.       From Quemado Lake you obtain a great sight of Escondido Mesa, and a good location to visit is Sawmill Canyon. Yeah, come up here to the San Francisco Mountains for a great time. El Morro National Monument is a wonderful local destination here at Quemado Lake, and there's fine hiking along the Leslie Spring Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Quemado Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Quemado Lake Campground is a magnificent location to camp                  nearby, and there are other spots here than Quemado Lake, for example White Rock Lake. It is very dehydrated here at Quemado Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is August while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing things just keep reading. Don't leave Quemado Lake without first going for a hike along the Sawmill Camp Trail, and why not visit Quemado Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Through the warmest time of the year at Quemado Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
