Quemado Lake

HAD A GREAT TIME AND MY GUIDE (HUSBAND JIM) DID A GOOD JOB FINDING BOTH MUSKY AND RAINBOWS. WENT FOR 4 DAYS AT THE END OF SEPT. 2010. GREAT CAMP SITES AND SCENERY. THE ELK MADE IT HARD TO SLEEP AT NIGHT AS BUGLED ALL NIGHT LONG. RAINBOW WAS 5.245 LBS. POOR GUIDE DIDN'T CATCH ANY!!! Says MARIA DODDS

Being a new resident to Quemado, my son and I went fishing there for the first time last Sunday morning. We were surprised with our unexpected catch of several
16'', 3 14'' and several 12'' rainbows trouts off the bank! we caught our limit and share them with our neighbors. It made up for hoping for small mouth bass which come to hear from anglers there, no Bass in Q lake, as stated by anglers
website. No worries though, We plan a return trip after the holidays. FYI... Early around 9am, we watched 2 hawks on the southern hills and an eagle passed the second boat ramp. Was a great day at Q lake! Says Ray
